Paintings
Painting is my main focus. Here I can create my own pocket of serenity and calm I need in my life. Wood was always my favorite when it comes to choose a support. I love the contact of the organic nature of this material.
Drawings
From time to time, I go back to my first love, colored pencils. Either I need to make study of a subject or want to try different things, this is the medium I prefer. It gives me the latitude to explore shapes and lights of my subject in a quicker way.
The mini serie
The project started after my pregnancy, when I wanted to get back at painting after a couple of months off. They were perfect to renew with the medium and explore small ideas and different color palettes.
About me
I am a Montreal based artist who mostly works with acrylics on wood. My work revolve around happy nostalgia, evoking fond recollections of childhood where the sight of a sweet treat and the presence of a small creature were enough to fill our hearts with pure delight and amazement. Using elements such as borders, compositions and decorative ornament, I create small windows on a surreal world where flowers, candy and small animals are the companions of this journey.
